Our goal is to provide for the first year’s tuition for our Hand Up fund candidates, Dominic and Jane. $25 donations through February will be matched by our board, up to $1000 matched in total.
Dominic is 19 years old and is the oldest of four children, living with his mother (his father is deceased). He would like to study civil engineering at Ndejje University. Dominic enjoys the challenging yet practical aspects of engineering and hopes to graduate so he can work on projects that will help Uganda improve its conditions.
Jane is also 19 years old and is the youngest of four children. She recently lost her mother and has dreams of attending the YWCA Institute to gain a degree in hotel management. The country she would most like to visit is the United States. Jane is also interested in learning more about law and economics if she can enroll in college.
