Mackeben Elementary School sure knows how to be generous! In less than two weeks, the students and their families have collected more than one thousand toothbrushes, children’s underwear and pairs of socks for our scholarship students and their classmates in central Uganda. Each year the Mackeben Elementary School chooses a charity and conducts a drive during the Thanksgiving season. Day-by-day we’ve been following their progress as they counted their collections and reached their goal. The drive is also supported by a special Ugandan exhibit in the library where students can learn more about Uganda and the lives of our scholarship students. A school-wide reading lesson is focusing on generosity and gratitude. We’re grateful for you, Mackeben!
