Congratulations to the 6th grade St. Andrew Class, who took first place in the Penny Challenge benefitting One Heart Uganda that raised a record-breaking $3100! This annual tradition pits one grade against another in collecting dollars and coins during a weeklong contest. Dollar bills and pennies trump all silver coins resulting in a daily battle where competing classes put silver coins in each other’s containers to reverse the positive count. And all the while, students in Uganda are the true winners – along with couch cushions across Lakeview that are a lot cleaner for the effort!
