We’re honored to be the recipients of the annual Mackeben Elementary November Outreach effort this month. “One small act, like bringing in something to help someone who needs it, can help change the world, bring happiness to others and make us feel good in the process,” their plan states. “Sometimes we don’t realize how lucky we are to have so many things we need.” Students will bring in toothbrushes, floss, underwear and socks for our students in Uganda.
The collection will start Monday, November 4th and run through the 15th. The collected goods will be transported to Uganda in conjunction with our upcoming team trip. Our thanks to Principal Anna Hoyou and Vice Principal Paula Moan, who were instrumental in partnering with teacher and OHU board member, Paula Thivierge, to promote the generosity lesson and outreach collection.
