The third-grade class at St. Andrew in Chicago helped us give thanks to our many, valuable sponsors by handwriting gratitude letters. In addition, to writing 100+ letters in under an hour, the class had a chance to ask questions and learn more about the upcoming trip to Uganda.
We shared photos and discussed the new well that is under construction and will provide a healthy water source for students at our Lwamata campus. We also passed around pairs of the innovative “growing” sandals we’re providing each of our students and discussed how difficult it would be if we didn’t have shoes to wear to protect our feet.
A special thanks to teachers, Mrs. Marshall and Ms. Smith, who invited us into their classroom. And, a BIG thank you to our “Helping Heart” third-graders for making our sponsors feel special.
