Saint Andrew School in Chicago has a well-known motto: Spirit Study Service. Last Friday a group of students had fun adding an extra “S” to their motto. St. Andrew students ages preschool to 8thgrade gathered to paint a mural for their sister school, St. Andrew in Uganda. The One Heart Uganda logo is encircled with: Spirit Study Service AND Scholarship.
Led by teachers Kelly Shea and Paula Thivierge, and local artist and parent, Heather Gentile Collins – the group created a colorful message of love and support that will soon hang in the St. Andrew Secondary School in Lwamata, Uganda.
Pictures speak louder than words and this is one image that will speak volumes across the continents – connecting students’ hearts.
