Excitement filled the air as crowds of students and their parents bustled into the hallways of the St. Andrew Art Walk last Thursday night. Students eager to show off their handiwork were greeted by the new One Heart Uganda painting displayed in the school’s front entrance. Student council members collaborated with local artist and parent, Heather Gentile Collins, to design and paint the tribute.
“Supporting Uganda and its scholarship students is an important part of our school’s mission to be students of study, spirit and service. This painting celebrates our commitment and dedication to providing educational opportunities for our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Uganda,” said Kelly Shea, OHU director and St. Andrew teacher. Shea coordinated the project with student council advisor, Kevin Carr, and artist, Collins.
