Lydia is entering her second year of clinical medicine at St. Francis Health Sciences College in Mityana. She’s excited that she now can perform procedures that she used to only dream of, including nursing care and general services for reproductive health, dental care and ophthalmology.
On a path to graduate with a diploma in 2026, she shared what excites her most about her future medical profession. “It used to hurt me to look at a person suffering in pain with no solution and not knowing the cause of the problem,” Lydia said. “I’m working toward becoming a doctor when I can provide answers for different medical conditions and save lives.”
