4th Grade’s Penny Power

The St. Andrew School fourth-graders burst from the pep rally stands as their class was announced as this year’s winner of the annual Penny Challenge. They secured their title by bringing in the most pennies during a week-long coin collection that raised over $3600 for OHU and set a new collection record.

“It was great to watch how excited the students were bringing in their bags of coins each morning. They had so much fun competing for a good cause,” Tammy Norton, St. Andrew faculty said.

A big “thank you” to our Penny Challenge coordinator, OHU board emeritus member, and St. Andrew 4th grade teacher, Annie McGuire. She led board members Kim Arndt, Tim Richards and Donnie Roberts through the coin counting process at the local bank just in time to share the exciting news with the whole school.
