Like many young people starting out, Eurica’s first career choice didn’t live up to her expectations. After attending a vocational school for cosmetology and hairdressing, she worked in a few different salons and saved her money. She decided her interests would be better served in business administration. Assembling her savings, she registered for a vocational program and earned a second certificate. She landed a job at St. Andrew Secondary School, where she is enjoying the challenges of helping to run the school office and support the students’ next level examination process.
We’ve always known Eurica to be determined and hard-working, but you should also know she has a very big heart. During our recent visit, we learned she is helping to care for a 2-year-old girl, who was recently abandoned and left at the parish campus. At the end of her busy workday before she heads home, Eurica stops by the pre-school to pick up the young girl and take her home for the night. We’re so proud of this selfless and successful graduate.
